Malvin Lee Walter, 75, longtime area resident, died Thursday, November 7, 2013, at his home in Weldona.|
Malvin was born in 1938 in St. Francis, Kansas, to Albert and Edna Walter. He married Carolyn K. Hubbell on April 12, 1969 in Fort Morgan.
Malvin was an avid sportsman and liked camping, hunting and fishing, archery and bowling. He always had a garden and enjoyed taking care of it.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of Weldona; daughter, Linda Garcia and husband, Marty of Pueblo; grandsons, Travis and Tony; close friend, Jim Pickett of Fort Morgan; and a sister, Doris.
Malvin was preceded in death by his parents.
At his request no funeral services are scheduled at this time.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Hospice of Northern Colorado. Malvin's family would like to thank hospice for the great care he received.
The Heer Mortuary in Brush is in charge of the arrangements.
