Nola Virginia Carlson, 80, longtime area resident, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at the North Colorado Medical Center Hospice Unit in Greeley.
She was born April 11, 1933 in Oberlin, Kansas, to Manny and Lettie (Baxter) Jaderborg.
Nola married Harlan Carlson on June 24, 1951 in Atwood, Kansas. He died in 1999.
She was an active member of the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. Nola was a good cook and liked to cook for other people. She made afghans to give away, collected items from Sweden and enjoyed bowling. In her younger years, she was a school bus driver, worked at the Harned Bakery and at Morgan Medical Equipment and Supplies.
Survivors include one daughter, Lana Carlson of Fort Morgan, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Nola was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan, an infant son, Carl, one sister, Shirley Toman, one brother, James Jaderborg and her parents.
Memorial services will be Monday, July 22, 2013, at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Fort Morgan. Inurnment will follow in the Serenity Falls Columbarium in Fort Morgan.
Memorial gifts may be made in Nola's name in care of the Heer Mortuary or to the United Methodist Church.
The Heer Mortuary in Fort Morgan is in charge of the arrangements.
