Reta Remington Obituary
Reta Elmina Baughman Brening Remington returned to her Heavenly Father at the age of 85, on Tuesday, April 1, 2014, in Heber City, Utah, near her daughter. Reta was a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born to Charles and Ella Baughman on May 11, 1928 in Snyder, Colorado. She grew up on a farm which instilled in her a sense of hard work and appreciation. She worked for AT&T for many years starting off as a switch board operator with Mountain Bell and then working in administration with Pacific Tel & Tel until her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Association. She lived in Orange, California, before retiring to and spending many happy years in Green Valley, Arizona. She absolutely loved Arizona. She enjoyed painting and even took lessons from Leslie B. DeMille. She enjoyed her vacations to San Blas, Mexico, and other places around the world, traveling, sewing, spending time with family, and doing family history. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and had a strong testimony of Jesus Christ and God the Father. She married Harold Brening (deceased) later divorced, then later married Ralph Donald Remington (deceased). Preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers, Elton, Raymond and Roy. She is survived by her sisters, Lucille, Wilma and Doris Jean; daughter, Kathi Olsen; son, Charles Brening; step-daughter, Cendi Remington; step-son, John Remington; 10 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren. A special thanks to Siali for her devotion and care for Reta. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 12, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Heer Mortuary, Brush, Colorado. Internment will follow at the Brush Memorial Cemetery. Flowers are appreciated. Reta wanted us to know that: "I lived a good life."
