DORIS JEAN FAIRFIELD RODENBECK, 80, of Indianapolis, Ind., passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012. She was employed by Methodist Hospital for 20 years. She was an accomplished pianist who taught private lessons for several years. She was a devoted mother who dedicated her life to helping the deaf. She is survived by her husband, Robert Rodenbeck; children, Jan Kennicutt and Daniel Rodenbeck; sisters, Margie Jetter and Sherry Fairfield; brother, Gilbert Fairfield; grandchildren, Matthew Kennicutt, Jeremy Kennicutt, Joshua Rodenbeck, and Jessica Rodenbeck; and great-grandchildren, James and Gabriella. She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Millie Fairfield; and son, Steven Rodenbeck. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Harry W. Moore Funeral Home, Indianapolis, with visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Visitation also from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, April 23, 2012, at the funeral home.
