JEFFREY W. WEAVER, 57, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at Parkview Regional Medical Center. He was born in Fort Wayne. He was a salesman at heart and did that well during his work career. He was a member of Christ's Church at Georgetown and Summit City Masonic Lodge. He was a recovering alcoholic who had dedicated his life to helping others in the program at Club Oasis. "Jeffrey had an outgoing and funny personality that made him a joy to be around." He was an avid IU, Broncos, and racing fan that also enjoyed being at the lake, being around animals, but most of all he had a strong love and faith in the Lord. Surviving are his loving wife of 19 years, Susan Weaver of Fort Wayne; children, Jennifer Weaver of Indianapolis, Jeffrey (Autumn) Weaver, Sierra Weaver and Johnathon Weaver, all of Fort Wayne; grandson, Riley Weaver; siblings, Margaret (Larry) Contos of Anderson, Dr. R. Wyatt (Judy) Weaver Jr. of Angola, Barbara Fyock of Fort Wayne, and Robert Weaver of Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret and R. Wyatt Weaver Sr. Service is 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012, at Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel, 2114 S. Calhoun, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Chris Steele officiating. Memorials may be made to Club Oasis.

My sincerest condolences to Jeff's family. It has been a long time. I had such a crush on him (about 45 years ago...)seeing him ski on the lake. Ski on, Jeff.

Jeff had more funny stories than anyone that I have ever met! He could just think of one after another. Not many people can do that.
His heart was always in the right place, wanting to help others.

Like you would always tell me before a performance, game, and new adventure; "Break a leg!" You were not only my father, but my best friend. I'm going to miss our philosophical conversations, debates, and arguments that always seemed to turn into our inside jokes. I'm happy for you that the fight is over. You did so well and I am so proud of you. I know you will always be with me. Every day that I look in the mirror, I can see your eyes looking back at me. We won't go there about the skin I inherited. Ha! Love you pops!!!
