VALERIE ADDIS-THENA, 41, passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Valerie worked as a manager with Clothing Retail and Fast Food for years. She was a volunteer parent for New Haven High School Band. Surviving are her son, Matthew B.W. Thena of Fort Wayne; mother, Mary Lynn (Harry) Fultz of New Haven, Ind.; partner in life, Richard Woodward of Fort Wayne; brothers, Barry (Linda) Fultz of Fort Wayne, and Andrew (Carolyn) Fultz of Angola, Ind.; sisters, Rachel M. Addis and Joni (Jeff) Jones both of Fort Wayne, and Kathy Bowley of New Haven, Ind.; seven cousins; 11 nieces and nephews; and many aunts and uncles; friends, Cecilia Duron of San Antonio, Texas and Tina Tarr of New Haven, Ind., "and many other friends that loved her." She was preceded in death by her father, B. Steven Addis. Funeral service is 7 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with visitation two hours prior. Rev Mike Kelly officiating. Memorials may be made to the Family or I.O.P.O. Indiana Organ Procurement.
