AMOS SCHWARTZ Obituary

AMOS B. SCHWARTZ, 81, died on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Bluffton Regional Hospital following a long battle with cancer. He founded Rainbow Construction and worked with his sons at L.imberlost Construction. Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Neva (Peters) Schwartz; four sons, Marvin R. (Linda ) Schwartz of Monroe, Kenneth (Lindsey) Schwartz and Michael L. (Dayon) Schwartz, both of Geneva, and Theodore "Toby" Schwartz; three daughters, Elizabeth (Gary) Liechty and Cynthia (Steve) Moore, both of Berne, and Teresa (Todd) Moser of Fort Wayne; two stepsons, Craig Peters of Bellingham, Wash. and Scott (Jennifer) Peters of Geneva; one stepdaughter, Erin (Chris) Hubbard of Indianapolis; and one daughter-in-law, Lisa Schwartz of Portland; one brother, Joseph B. (Rosa) Schwartz of Grabill; one sister, Rachel Hostetler of Sturgis, Mich.; 33 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and local survivors also include many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; 10 brothers; and seven sisters. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013, at Berne Evangelical Church, 5481 South 450 West, Berne, with visitation one hour before the service. Pastor Kent FahI officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, the church. Burial will follow service in the Evangelical Mennonite Church Cemetery. Arrangements by Yager-Kirchhofer Funeral Home, Berne, Ind. Suggested memorials may be directed through the funeral home to Berne Evangelical Church, Swiss Heritage Society of Berne, or the Hope Clinic of Berne / Decatur.
