VIRGINIA M. MULKEY, 88, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at The Cedars. She was born Aug. 1, 1924 in Bedford, Ind. the daughter of the late Richard and Gladys (Charles) Tucker. She married Carl Mulkey on Feb. 13, 1943 in Bedford, Ind. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1995. She worked as a clerk for Bell Cleaners and Bendix Cleaners and also as a sales person for Fair Store and was a Pink Lady Volunteer at Dunn Memorial Hospital in Bedford, Ind. She was a member of the Heltonville Methodist Church, Spencerville United Methodist Church and Women's Group. Surviving are her granddaughter, Cheryl (Robert) Freimuth of Spencerville, Ind.; three great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; two brothers. She was also preceded in death by one brother, Charles Tucker; and her son, Carl Mulkey. Funeral service is 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 at Carnahan-Baidinger & Walter Funeral Home in Spencerville, Ind. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
