KENNETH "NEIL" NEIREITER, 72, of Lafayette, died on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, 2:20 p.m., at Indiana University Health. Born June 1, 1940, in Fort Wayne, he was a son of the late Floyd and Marceil McCorkle Neireiter. Neil graduated from Central High School, Fort Wayne. On May 25, 1963, he married Maridee Smith in Fort Wayne; she survives. Neil worked for Pate Trucking Company as a Dispatcher, retiring in 2011. He enjoyed fishing, reading, watching TV, and spending time with his grandchildren. Also surviving are his children, Karla (Bruce) Fisher of Concord, N.C., Kevin (Jenny) Neireiter of Seattle, Wash. and Keith Neireiter (fiance' Elaine Wiener) of Lafayette; grandchildren, Jessilyn and Brett Fisher, Isabella and Penelope Neireiter, and soon to be grandchildren Allison and DJ Wiener; sister, Karen Steele of Fort Wayne; and brother, Jerry McCorkle. He was preceded in death by brothers, Keith Neireiter and Dean McCorkle. A memorial service will be held at a later date in Fort Wayne. Sign the guestbook and leave memories at www.soller-baker.com
