ALICE F. (LALY MAGUIRE) MEYERS, 87, of Fort Wayne, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012. Born in London, England, she married her true love, Ed Meyers on Dec. 22, 1946. This was a true World War II love story. She worked at G.E. for 25 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church, G.E. Quarter Century and the Elex Club. "She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother." She was a multi-talented person who enjoyed her family, crafts, and bus trips with her sister-in-law, and walking with her friends. Surviving are her daughters, Susan (Robert) Duncan of Fort Wayne and Sandy (Larry) Waters of New Haven; daughter-in-law, Jan Meyers of Columbia City; brother, George (Pat) Maguire of Comstock Park, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Alice Maguire; and her loving husband, Ed; son, John; and great-grandson, Brandon Duncan. Mass of Christian Burial is 1 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7, 2012 at St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church with calling one hour prior. Father Andrew Budzinski officiating.
