ALVA GLENN GEIST, 81, of Payne, passed away Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at his residence. Glenn was born in Fort Wayne on April 25, 1931, a son of the late Fanny Marie (Ligon) and Cecil Glenn Geist. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a machine repairman at General Electric. On Sept. 27, 1986 he married Elizabeth Mull. "Glenn will be sadly missed" by his wife, Elizabeth; two children, S. Michael Geist; and Joy M. Geist, both of Churubusco; three stepchildren, Kelley Latimer, and Kim (Bill) Daniels, both of Van Wert, and Kent Latimer of Anniston, Ala.; brother, Max of Corunna; and six grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by his daughter, Kay Anne. Service is 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Lehman Cemetery, 6100 Road 33, Payne.
