ARGENTRY C. CARR JR., 63, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Born April 15, 1949, in Sikeston, Mo., he was a son of the late Argentry C. Carr Sr. and Lorraine Carr. He enlisted in the U.S. Marine Corps
at the age of 20 and served in the Vietnam War
as a rifleman. He enjoyed fishing, singing, dancing, sports, and spending time with his children. He is survived by Wilma Diane Lewis; daughters, Diagentry Lewis, Shafonda Lewis, Alisha (Rodney) Walker, and Felicia (Dennis) Johnson, all of Fort Wayne; sons, Jermard Lewis and Keith Flye, both of Fort Wayne and Jermaine Lewis of Atlanta, Ga.; 22 grandchildren: six great-grandchildren; a special aunt, Pinkie Littlejohn; three special friends, Larry Lee, Eugene and Aaron Scruggs; a host of aunts, uncles, friends, and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Argentry C. Carr Sr. and Lorraine Carr; grandparents, Luther and Louise Smith; and a son, Argentry C. Carr III. Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at Friendship Baptist Church, with calling 1/2 hour prior. Calling also from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 10, 2012, at the church.
