ARTHUR T. FARMER, 89, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013. Born in Molus, Ky., Arthur was a metalurgy lab tech. with Dana Corp. for 32 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Anthony Wayne First Church of God, America Legion Post 82 and volunteered for Associated Churches Food Bank and Mission House. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and loved spending time with his grandkids. Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Roberta Farmer of Fort Wayne; son, Doug (Claire) Farmer of Roanoke; daughter; Cindy (Dewitt) Cearbaugh of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Dennis. Service is 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Jerry Blanchard officiating. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
