BRENDA MEYER, 58, passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, in Fort Wayne. She was born in Fort Wayne. During her life, she had a basket with five nursing degrees in it. She worked as a Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Nurse and was also a Professor of Critical Care Nursing. Brenda loved her kitties and going to the lake on the weekends. Her camper was the "T-Cup", Jedi's camper was the "Pink Poodle". She loved Diet Coke, pretzels and chocolate ice cream cones from Rally's. "She will be missed by her friends and family." She is survived by her sisters, Jedi Jean and Beth (James) Oas, both of Fort Wayne; brother, Steven Carl (Char) Meyer of Florida; niece, Kelley (fiancé, Kyle) Oas of Fort Wayne; nephew, Steve Shawn Meyer of New Bern, N.C.; niece, Sarah (Wes) Sims of Helena, AL; as well as her three beloved puddies, Dapne Moon, Mr. Anderson and French Fry. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert Carl and Marilyn Ruth Meyer. Service is 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at the funeral home.
