CAROL HAGAMAN MILLER, 98, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at the Towne House Retirement Community, Fort Wayne. A graduate of Ohio State University, she was a devoted member of the Pi Beta Phi Fraternity for Women since 1932. Carol and her husband raised six children and were active in each of their seven communities. A gifted artist, seamstress and ceramist, she received numerous awards in honor of her craft. She is survived by a son, Ralph Charles Miller III of Moraga, Calif.; four daughters, Margaret M. Thomas of Carmel, Ind., Nancy M. Daily of Rochester Hills, Mich., Janet M. Adamson of Williamsburg, Va., and Catherine C. Miller of West Bloomfield, Mich.; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Ralph C. Miller Jr.; daughter, Barbara Jane Miller; and brother, Frederick Homer Hagaman. "Carol was incredibly accomplished in all walks of life and deeply loved by those who have been graced by her presence."
