CAROL J. COCKERHAM, 63, of Milton, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, at Mercy Hospital, Janesville. Born April 15, 1950, in Janesville, Weis., she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Charolette (Fancher) Sockness. Carol worked for many years as a pipe fitter for General Motors, retiring from the Fort Wayne location in 1988. On Jan. 29, 2001, Carol married Frank Cockerham. Carol is survived by her husband, Frank Cockerham of Milton; children, Raymand (Diane) Vierck of Edgerton, Wis., Roy (Wendy) Vierck of Fort Wayne, Randall (Norma) Vierck of Janesville, Wis., and Catrina (Josh) Ricks of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Vanessa Vierck, Kassandra Vierck, Ronald Vierck, Brianna Johnston, Fernando Adame, Adam Schweyer, Ariez Schweyer, Raymand Vierck, Ruby Vierck, Natalie Vierck, and Sebastian Ricks; great-grandchild, Izabella Erickson; and many friends. She was also preceded in death by her sons, Russell Vierck and Darrick Sockness. Funeral service is from 5 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at Covington Funeral Home, Fort Wayne.
