CHARLES B. McGREW JR., 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Born in Detroit, Mich., Charles earned an Industrial Design degree from the University of Illinois. He was a Korean War veteran and worked at Navistar 33 years. Charles was an artist, and involved with the Fort Wayne Museum of Art for many years. His passions were fishing and his artwork. Surviving are his son, Chip (Mary) McGrew of Fort Wayne; daughter, Nike (Rick) McGillivray of St. Joe; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial service is 2 p.m. Sunday at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, with calling one hour prior. Memorials may be made to the Fort Wayne Museum of Art. Chip, I'm very sorry to learn of your father's passing. I'm the director of the FW Museum of Art and I have spent many, many hours with your Dad talking about art and artists. He also was a long time volunteer here and will be missed by everyone.
