DALE E. JACOBS, 66, passed away at home Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, after a four year courageous battle with complications of Agent Orange. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Dale was a CPA with North American Van Lines, Fort Wayne National Bank and retired from Neighborhood Health Clinic. He was a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church and a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed golf, travel, cards, games, and dancing. Surviving are his wife, June Jacobs of Fort Wayne; son, Scott (Wendy) Jacobs of Fishers; daughter, Vicki (Peter) Schenkel of Fort Wayne; mother, Dorothy Diebold of Cincinnati, Ohio; brothers, Dennis Jacobs of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Rick (Lois) Jacobs of Lincoln, Neb.; grandchildren, Lily, Zack, Louie, and Colin; and mother-in-law, Dorothy McMurray of Louisville, Ky. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Diebold; grandmother, Vera Smith; and father-in-law, Christopher McMurray. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 20, 2013 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd., with calling one hour prior. Msgr. John Suelzer officiating.
