DAVID L. CONWAY, 68, of Columbus, formerly of Shelby ville and Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2013, at his residence. Born April 23, 1945, in Shelby ville, he was the son of Norman D. and Lillian J. (McIntyre) Conway. David married Barbara E. Thompson on June 12, 1971; she preceded him in death on Jan. 16, 2003. On July 23, 2005, he married Susan Warner-Conway; she survives. David retired after 36 years of service from General Electric, Fort Wayne, in 2005, where he was a wire mill wire enameler. Also surviving are his sons, Nic (wife, Jennifer) Conway of Fort Wayne and Danny (wife, Jonna) Powers of Shelbyville; daughter, Betsy Ogden of Fort Wayne; stepson, Jason Warner of Indianapolis; brothers, Ronnie "Joe" (wife, Lynn) Conway, Timothy (wife, Janice) Conway, and Danny (wife, Terri) Conway, all of Shelbyville; sister, Linda Conway of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Barbie Sue, Greg, Darin, Davey, Andy, Jared, Mallory, Kyle, Novelyn and Haley; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Teresa Taylor. Funeral service is noon Friday, June 7, 2013, at Freeman Family Funeral Homes & Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville. Pastors Charles Aigner and George Mitchell officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at the funeral home.
