ELMER F. LINNEMEIER, 86, of Lake Township, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013. A lifelong resident of Lake Township, he retired as a dairy farmer there in 2009. He was a member of Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where he had served as a trustee, on the Board of Elders, and the Board of Education. He enjoyed playing with the church dartball team, and enjoyed farming and most especially loved and cherished his family. Surviving are children, Carl E. (Laura) Linnemeier of Fort Wayne, Ralph E. (Christine) Linnemeier of Larwill and Diane K. (Art) Mehring of Big Bend, Wis.; brother, Henry (Lois) Linnemeier of Churubusco; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Springer) Linnemeier, in 1991; sisters, Velma Heckman and Alma Kruse; and brother, Ralph Linnemeier. Service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at Suburban Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 6318 W. California Road, with calling one hour prior. Pastor William Mueller officiating.
