EMILY B. HOLT, 100, passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2012, in Fort Wayne. Born Aug. 22, 1911, in Atlanta, Ga., she worked as a Teacher with Jack & Jill Kindergarten for 35 years. Surviving are her daughter, Catharine Norton of Fort Wayne; son, Daniel Jack Holt of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Phillip Antony (Becky) Norton of Fort Wayne, Margaret (Gary) Hoke of Brownsburg, Ind. and Heather Holt of Cape Coral, Fla.; and great grandchildren, Carrie, Melissa, Skylar, Stephen, and Sarah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorris Jack Holt; parents, D.L. and Catharine (Clarke) Beatie; and three brothers. A Time of Remembrance is from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 3, 2012, at First Wayne Street United Methodist Church, 300 E. Wayne St., Fort Wayne, with the Rev. Greg Enstrom officiating. Interment in Crown Hill Cemetery, Albany, Ga. Memorials may be made to the First Wayne Street United Methodist Church Choir Tour Fund, or P.E.O. Chapter BD.
