EMMA VIOLA YODER, 95, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. She was born February 12, 1917 in Mark Center, Ohio, and married Henry Yoder in 1939. She was a member of Brookside Church, & volunteered for many years at Parkview Hospital. The joy of her life was being a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Emma is survived by four children, Shirley (Dan) Lapp of Lansdale, Pa.; Ruth (John) Neely of Dayton, Ohio; Robert Yoder of Angola, Ind.; and John (Sherry) Yoder of Fort Wayne. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Derwood (Cindy) Lapp, Julia (Doug) Harris, Craig (Laura) Neely, Scott (Amy) Neely, Anica (Andy) Isch, and Erica (Trevor) Kight; and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Daniel D. and Amanda Kurtz; husband, Henry, in 1988; brothers, Mose, Simon, and John; sisters, Sara Sommers, and Amanda Yoder Eash. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at Brookside Church, 6102 Evard Road, with visitation one hour prior. Reverend Don Roth officiating. Visitation also from 4 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 4, 2013 at Brookside Church. Burial is at Leo Cemetery. Arrangements by Northern Indiana Funeral Care of Fort Wayne. Memorials to Brookside Church.
