GEORGIANNA S. OVERMAN

GEORGIANNA S. OVERMAN, 92, of Winchester, went to be with her Lord and Savior and her loving husband, Donald L. Overman on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012. She had lived at Pine Knoll Rehabilitation Center for six years. Born March 4, 1920, in Randolph County, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Dorrance D. and Mabel Christine (Spille) Stearns. She had worked at Randolph County Extension Clerk's Office, Ohio Valley Gas Company, and Donalee's Mercantile for six years. Surviving are two daughters, Anne (Kenneth) Fowble of Auburn and Donalee (Jack) Welch of Winchester; one brother, Keith (Joyce) Stearns of Union City, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Scott Welch, Amy Bullan, Christopher (Gale) Welch, Ryan Lee (Lisa) Welch, Cama (Todd) Foland, Jena Fowble, Julia (Jason) Gilliland, and Amanda (Joe) Moring; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; and one brother, Dorrance D. Stearns Jr. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Thayer Funeral Home, Winchester, with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Cherie Isakson officiating. Friends of the family may also call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the funeral home. Burial in Fountain Park Cemetery.
