GERRY W. CLEVENGER

GERRY W. CLEVENGER, 71, of Angola, left this earth to ride the river roads in Heaven on Friday, Feb. 15, 2013. Born in Fort Wayne, he was retired in sales from Aflac and Hayden Honda. He enjoyed life to its fullest having many outdoor hobbies, hunting, biking or sitting around a bonfire with friends and family. He considered no one to be a stranger and loved the opportunity to meet someone new, and was always in search of a new ice cream stand. His passion for riding the back winding roads on his motorcycle provided him the opportunity to be a great leader and teacher to many of us. His definition for life is, that it is not about the destination but it is about the journey along the way! "Life is short, eat dessert first." "He was dearly loved by many, was fun loving and always had a positive attitude. He will be greatly missed. He was a truly unique person of character." Surviving are his daughters, Dawn Fair, Gwen Taylor and Holly Clevenger; sisters, Kathe DelaCruz and Sara Jones; brother, Tim Clevenger; grandchildren, Zach, Kyle, Courtney, Amber, Emilee, and Rebecca; and great-grandchildren, Allyse, Adrianna and Baya. A life celebration is from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Metea Park, 8401 Union Chapel Road, Fort Wayne. Memorials to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Homes. To sign the online guestbook, please visit www.mccombandsons.com
