GWENDOLYN L. REIDENBACH, 89, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Lutheran Life Villages, Ken dallville. Born Dec. 5, 1923, she was a daughter of Elmer H. and Mary A. (Bicknese) Pool. She graduated from Concordia Lutheran High School in 1941. She worked at Fruehauf Trailer Corporation and later at Fort Wayne National Bank, where she retired in 1989. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she was active in the Senior Choir for over 50 years, and served on the Finance Committee as secretary. In addition, she was a member of the Fort Wayne National Bank Quarter Century Club. She enjoyed travel, highlighted by a trip to England to see the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953. She enjoyed vacations in the western United States, especially Rocky Mountain National Park and the neighboring village of Estes Park, Colo. After retirement, she volunteered at Lutheran Homes, Fort Wayne and was a news reader for Northeast Indiana Radio Reading Service (NIERRS). She continued to travel in retirement including trips to Scotland, Europe, and Israel. Surviving are a son, Bruce (Ann) Reidenbach of Albion; and two grandchildren, Katherine and Eric. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Herbert A. Reidenbach, in 1967; and a brother, Richard E. Pool, in 1988. Service is 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at D.O. McComb & Son's Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Steve Ensley officiating. Calling also from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013, at the funeral home.
