IRWIN C. KRUEGER, 85, died Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014, at Park view Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne. Born in Erie, Pa., he received his Bachelor's Degree from Allegheny College and his Master's Degree from the University of Michigan. He served in the U.S. Air Force and then worked as an Actuary with Lincoln Life Insurance for 29 years, retiring in 1983. Following his retirement, he worked 10 years for the state of Indiana as an Insurance Company Examiner. He was past President of the Concordia Cemetery Association, a volunteer with the Community Center's senior games and an accomplished member of the Fort Wayne Philharmonic Chorus, Heartland Chamber Chorale and the Choral Union. Surviving are his wife, Hedwig W. Krueger of Fort Wayne; sons, Fritz (Kara) Krueger of Westfield, Paul G. (Cheryl) Krueger and Philip J. (Shari) Krueger both of Fishers; daughter, Heidi E. (Ralph) Thieme of Decatur; son, John A. Krueger of Fort Wayne; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Charles S. Krueger of Surf City, N.J.; cousins, June Janson of Erie, Pa. and Jackson Mowry of Bay Village, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his infant son, Jason Charles Krueger.
