JAMES GRUBBS, 80, passed away Friday, July 26, 2013 at Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne. Born in Lima, Ohio, James worked as a Data Coordinator with Mag-navox for 23 years, and Press Seal Gasket for 16 years. He was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran and served on the U.S.S. Essex, a member of Faith Baptist Church and an associate member of the American Baptist Church of Lakekand Florida. He enjoyed history, reading and baseball. Surviving are his wife, Rosalyce Grubbs; son, David Grubbs of Fort Wayne; daughter, Laura Owens of Fort Wayne; granddaughters, Miranda, Megan and Hannah of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mahlon and Lorene Grubbs; brother, David Samuel Grubbs. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Pastor Steven Roper officiating.
