JANA LEE (OPDYCKE) HUGHES, 74, passed away on Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, at Saint Anne Home, Fort Wayne. Born in Auburn, Jana was a teacher and Head of the Business Department for S.W.A.C. Schools and Homestead High School for 22 years, retiring in 1995. She was a member of St. Joseph United Methodist Church, Tri Kappa - Huntington Chapter, Starcraft Camper Club and was a founding member of Ageless Iron of Roanoke. She is survived by her sons, Greg (Karen) of Pleasant Lake, Ind. and Gary (Lori) Brownsburg, Ind.; daughter, Karen (Dan) Unger of Fort Wayne; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother, Douglas Opdycke of Bonita Springs, Fla.; and former husband, Dan W. Hughes of Elwood, Ind. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hemen and Helen Opdycke; and brother, Dallas Opdycke. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at St. Joseph United Methodist Church, 6004 Reed Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at Saint Anne Home Chapel, 1900 Randallia Drive, and from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, at D.O.
