LILLIAN F. STOPPENHAGEN, 89, of Ossian, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013, at Ossian Health & Rehabilitation. Born Dec. 19, 1923, in Blaze, Ky., she was a daughter of the late James and Myrtle (Lewis) Morgan. She worked for General Electric for 10 years and Melching Machine Shop as a bookkeeper for 26 years before retiring in 1994. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church and American Legion 296. The love of her life was her family and ballroom dancing with her late husband. She is survived by her two daughters, Deb (Mike) Pursifull of Ossian and Rhonda (Dean) DeRoche of Fort Wayne; sisters, Juanita Walker, Doris Jones, Dorothy Clark, and Joyce Hunter, all of St. Petersburg, Fla.; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a daugh ter-in-law, Millie Stoppenhagen of Noblesville. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Edwin A. Stoppenhagen; son, James M. Stoppenhagen; two granddaughters, Sarah and Amber; and grandson, Phillip Jason. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Ossian, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, 120 West Mill St., Ossian. Burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery.
