MARY K. BUEKER

MARY K. BUEKER, 92, of Blue Lake, formerly of Avilla, died on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at her home. She graduated from Albion High School in 1939, and worked at Ligonier Garment Factory from 1942 to 1954. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Avilla, its UMW Susanna Circle, Churubusco V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary, and the former Swan Township Home Extension Club. Surviving are children, Jane (Larry) Moos of Naperville, Ill., Fred (Jill) Bueker of Fort Wayne, Rev. Kathy (Rev. Craig) Bueker-Sweet of Springfield, Ill., and Mike (Melody) Bueker of Churubusco; sisters, Betty (Dave) Lambert of Fort Wayne and Mildred (Karl) Prough of Wolcottville; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph J. Bueker, in 2005; parents, Ralph and Beulah (Webster) Schlotterback; and brothers, Ross Schlotterback and Floyd Schlotterback. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at Calvary United Methodist Church, Avilla, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Leonard King officiating. Calling also from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco. Burial in Eel River Cemetery south of Churubusco. Memorials to the church.
