MARY KATHERINE "KITTY" ANDERSON RISH, 85, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014, in Fort Wayne. Born in Elkhart, Ind., she attended Purdue University where she was a member of Pi Beta Phi sorority. While at Purdue, she met her husband, Harry Warren Rish, Jr. After raising her five children, she completed her college degree at IPFW. She was a jubilee member of First Presbyterian Church, where she volunteered with the Samaritan Center. She was a loving mother, wife and homemaker who spent most of her life caring for her family. She also enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and reading. Surviving are her daughter, Virginia (J. Michael) Antrim of Noblesville, Ind.; son, David W. (Sally) Rish of Fort Wayne; daughters, Katherine (Michael) Shearer of Floyds Knobs, Ind., Carolyn (Frank) Faist of Mooresville, N.C. and Mary Christine (Gregory) Rowdon of West Lafayette, Ind.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 33 years, Harry W. Rish Jr.; parents, Edward Delmar and Imogen Anderson; brother, David V. Anderson; and sister Jean A. Peterson. Memorial Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb.15, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road with calling one hour prior. Chaplain Karen Kosberg officiating.
