PAMELA JULIE BARDONNER, 50, of Richmond, Va., formerly of Fort Wayne, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, after being hospitalized for 24 days. Born Sept. 10, 1962, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of Janet and the late W. John Bardonner. She married Gary M. Carlton of Richmond on July 20, 2013. She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church and Emmanuel-St. Michael Lutheran School. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Kenyon College in Ohio and a Master's degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a second grade teacher at Patrick Copeland Elementary School in Hopewell, Va. Pam and her dog, Buddy, belonged to the Chesterfield County Library "Reading to Rover" program. They also were members with the "Caring Canines Therapy Dog Group". Also surviving are her brother, Randy of Richmond; and sister, Beth of Cedar Falls, Iowa. Service is 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Richmond, Va., with viewing one hour prior to service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Kenyon College Scholarship and Financial Aid Fund, Gambier, OH.
