RALPH "WHITIE" PAUL HUETT, 90, of West Lafayette, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, 10:19 a.m., at the Indiana Veteran's Home. Born Nov. 4, 1922, in Fort Wayne, he was the son of Frederick and Irmgard (Stephan) Huett. He graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1940 and served in the United States Navy from 1943 to 1945. Ralph's early days were spent working for the Berghoff and Falstaff Breweries and he later worked for the City of Houston, Texas. Survivors include his two daughters, Sylvia (Rick) Weston of Indianapolis and Julie (Eric) Hiltz of Copperhill, Tenn.; son, Paul Huett of Huntington; and three grandchildren, Bob and Karen Kokovay and Matthew Hiltz. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Norbert. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Thursday at DeMoney-Grimes Countryside Park Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City, with visitation 9 to 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013. Funeral Celebrant Sharon Brockhaus officiating. Burial is 2 p.m. in National Cemetery, Mariont, with Military graveside rites by the United States Navy.
