RAYFORD A. LOFTIN, 86, died on Friday, July 5, 2013. He was born in Trenton, N.C. He was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of American Legion Post 47. Ray received a BS in Electrical Engineering from Indiana Tech and was employed with Magnavox for 37 years. He was a member of Taylor Chapel United Methodist Church and attended The Chapel. Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Janet; daughters, Tera (David) Viola and Stacia (Matt) Georgi; four grandchildren, Joey, Lauren, Cameron, and McKenna; three brothers, Garland (Hazel) Loftin, Marion (Louise) Loftin and Dalton (Judy) Loftin; and sister, Clarice Davenport. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Frances Tyndall and Louise Nobles. Service is 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 2, 2013, at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Road, with calling one hour prior to service.
