RICHARD GLENN FANCHER, 66, passed away Friday, Feb. 7, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Fort Wayne, Richard worked as a truck driver with TFE Trucking for 17 years. He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran, a member of VFW 10006 and Brookside Comm-unity Church, past member of the American Legion and 40 & 8. He enjoyed racing cars and gocarts and was a ham radio operator, N9RYK. Surviving are his wife, Laurrie Fancher; daughters, Lisa A. Fancher of Fort Wayne, and Rebekah E. (James) Witt of South Bend; sons, Patrick J. (Daniel Fool) Harris and Timothy M. (Amanda) Fancher all of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Stephanie, Aida Fancher and Hadlie Fancher and Laurrie K. Witt; brother, James Lane of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by his parents, Cleo "Burr" and Ellen T. Fancher; brother, Jerry Lane. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 at the funeral home.
