ROGER EGOLF, 93, passed away on Monday, March 10, 2014, at Harbour Assisted Living. Born in Smith Township, in Whitley County, he graduated from Churu busco High School and was a World War II Army veteran. He retired in 1982 as a driver for Howard Sobers, Inc. after 30 years, and was a member of Teamsters Local 414. He enjoyed antique tractors and gas engines, and most especially loved and cherished his family. Surviving are his son, Gary R. (Lori) Egolf of Fort Wayne; daughter, Becky Egolf of Fort Wayne; sister, Beatrice Leitch of Churubusco; and grandchildren, Chris Penrod, Paul Roger Egolf, and Anyssa Egolf. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Alta Lenore (Hawk) Egolf; brother, Norman Egolf; and sisters, Elizabeth Orcutt, Mary Jo Kennedy, Corrine Carig, Phyllis Miller, and infant Janet Egolf. Service is 10 a.m. Friday at Sheets & Childs Funeral Home, Churubusco. Pastor Corinne Boruff-Stucker officiating. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
