ROLAND W. "POP" KYLE, 88, died on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Parkview Regional Medical Center, Fort Wayne. He was a native of Huntington and was a member of Lifeway Wesleyan Church, Fort Wayne. He served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a veteran of World War II and Korea. He was a food salesman in the tri-state area for many years. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Eileen; daughters, Peggy Gable Miller (Glenn) of Fort Wayne and Sharon Gable Leatherman (Steve) of Monroeville; grandchildren, Jennifer (John) Langley, Melissa (Jim) Litmer, Sarah (Dan) Jones, Luke Leatherman, and Christine (Ed) Gibson; five great-grandchildren; special nephew, Tim Hall Sr.; and son-in-law, Steve Shatto. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carolyn "Cork" Gable Shatto; grandson, Gabriel Leatherman; and brothers, Robert and Richard Kyle. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Monday, July 1, 2013, at Lifeway Wesleyan Church, 7722 Moeller Road, Fort Wayne, with calling two hours prior. Pastor Rick Fletcher officiating.
