ROY D. STUCKY, 88, of Bronson, Mich. and formerly of Monroe, Ind., died Thursday, July 25, 2013 at the Roude-bush V.A. Medical Center, Indiana-polis, Ind. Roy was born March 7, 1925 in Berne, a son of the late Florenz and Metta (Nussbaum) Stucky. He married Mary Louise Trump on March 25, 1945, and she preceded him in death Sept. 14, 2012. He was a member of the East Ovid United Brethren Church in Coldwater, Mich. He retired in 1988 from National Oil & Gas in Bluffton, Ind.. He served in the United States Army during World War II, serving from June 1943 to Feb. 1946 and was wounded in action in Germany on Dec. 12, 1944. He received the American Theater Ribbon, Eame Ribbon with one Bronze Star, Good Conduct Metal, Purple Heart and the Victory Metal. Surviving are his son, Donald (Margie) Stucky of Monroe; three daughters, Marlene (Wayne) Etzler of Decatur, RoyaAnn (Randy) Sheets of Bronson, Mich., and Louise (Greg) Gaskill of Decatur; a brother, Max Stucky of Angola; two sisters, Ruby Brouer of Lagrange, and Bonnie Wall of Bluffton; 14 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters; and three brothers. Funeral service is 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home, Decatur. Pastor Troy Green officiating.
