RUTH ELAINE BROWN

RUTH ELAINE BROWN, formerly of Geneva, died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born in Geneva, Ind., the daughter of Theodore and Adah (Felty) Meyer. She married Willis Brown in 1957. They raised their family in Geneva and only left home late in life to join their sons in South Carolina. The Browns atteded Cornerstone Baptist Church in Portland and Dutch Fork Baptist Church in Columbia, S.C. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Willis Brown; two sons, Michael (Rachelle) Brown and Stephen Brown of Columbia, S.C.; two daughters, mary (Tim) Sharpe of Grand Rapids, Mich. and Rhonda (Emmanuel) Kardoulias of New Orleans; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A graveside is 3 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013 at Riverside Cemetery in Geneva, Ind. Rev. Wayne Ward of Cornerstone Baptist Church of Portland officiating.
