SALLY ANN YBARRA, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 after a two year fight with cancer; prior she had survived six years in remission from her first breast cancer
diagnosis. Sally was an art and music lover. She was a very talented artist who enjoyed drawing and painting. She also had a great love of the outdoors. She enjoyed traveling to national parks and exploring. These destinations were frequently inspirations for her artwork. Her other hobbies included reading and gardening. She was also a great dog lover. In her professional career, she worked as a draftsman for 30 years at Magnavox/ Raytheon in Fort Wayne; and retired from Schmidt & Associates in Indianapolis, where she worked on architectural drawings. Surviving are her children, Carla Ybarra-Dawson (Bill Dawson), and Eli Ybarra (Susan Vaughn); two grandchildren, Gabrielle and Grace; sister, Nan (Ed) Coble; and several cousins. She was preceded in deathy byher parents, Patricia Marquette and Robert LaPointe. A visitation service/art exhibition is from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, (IN 46805).
