VIOLET V. RINGENBERG, 89, of Woodburn, died on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013, at her home where she was lovingly cared for by her family, and the wonderful staff of Heartland Hospice. Born in Adams County, she was the daughter of the late Valentine and Ida Egly. She was a member of Woodburn Missionary Church, Taylor University Fort Wayne Alumni Council, and the Woodburn Home Economics Club. "Violet was a loving and dedicated pastor's wife, who was always by her husband's side." She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Gerald Ringenberg; children, Roger (Carol) Ringenberg and Gary Ringenberg, both of Fort Wayne, and Dorcas (Dave) McDeavitt of Woodburn; foster daughter, Yvonne (Randy) Nigh of Rushville; siblings, Glenna (Milt) Wong of Fort Wayne and Lester (Carole) Egly of Travelers Rest, S.C.; 13 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Albert Egly, Chloetta Erdel and Carolyn Nussbaum. Funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at Woodburn Missionary Church, 5108 Bull Rapids Road, Woodburn, with calling one hour prior. Pastor Joel DeSelm officiating.
