WARREN J. GIDLEY, 80, passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2013 at Lutheran Hospital with his loving family at his side. Born in Fort Wayne, Warren worked in Sales with Fort Wayne Engraving for 35 years, retiring in 1995. He was a U.S. Army Korean War veteran and member of American Legion Post 296 and V.F.W. Decatur Post 6236. He loved the lake and spending time with his grandchildren and attending their sporting events. He was their #1 fan. Surviving are his wife, Barbara Gidley of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jane A. (Jeff) Hans; sons, Steven J. (Laura) Gidley and Mark A. (Jennifer) Gidley all of Fort Wayne; step- son, Michael (Sandra) Osterman of Rogers, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and three step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Millie C. Gidley; first wife, Nita M. Gidley; stepdaughter, Michel Andrews; brothers, Wilbur and Kenton Gidley. Funeral Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, 2013 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2013 at the funeral home. Burial in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Ind. Memorials may be made to the Cancer Services of N.E.
