WAYNE E. DOTY, 88, formerly of Woodburn, died on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Miller's Merry Manor, Columbia City. Born in Allen County, he was the son of the late William and Minnie Doty. He was a member of St. James Lutheran Church, Payne, Ohio. Wayne was a lifelong farmer, who enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and winters in Florida with his late wife, Doris. He is survived by his children, Barbara (Max) Cotner and Dale (Lana) Doty, both of Columbia City; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Doris Doty, in 2012; and siblings, Katheryn Bouillon, Evelyn Andorfer, Donald Doty, and Gaylord Doty. Funeral service is 2 p.m. Friday, April 5, 2013, at St. James Lutheran Church, 511 W. Townline St., Payne, Ohio, with calling from noon to 2 p.m. prior to service. Pastor Fred Meuter officiating.
