REV. WILLIAM CLYDE BIRCH, 66, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2012 at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home in Fort Wayne. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, Bill worked as a Minister of Word and Sacraments in the Presbyterian Church (USA) for 30 years, retiring in 2008. He was a pastor of several churches through out the Midwest, including Cincinnati, Ohio (as a student Pastor); Hanover, Ohio; Steelville, Mo.; St. Louis, Mo.; Howe, Ind. (as an Interim Pastor). He also served as a Guardian ad Lidem for the State of Minnesota for one year. After retiring and moving to Fort Wayne, he also served at Trinity Presbyterian Church as their Parish Associate. Surviving are his loving wife, Rev. Susan Guyer Birch; brothers, Robert (Louise) Birch of Fla., Roy (Eleanor) Birch of Wisc.; nephews, James (Deborah) Birch of Ohio and Eric Birch of Wisc.; nieces, Deborah (Steven) Browne of Ohio, Amy (Matthew) Brueck of Wisc., Erin (Marc) Schreiber of Mo. and Brittany Guyer of Mo.; and several great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Cecelia Birch. A Memorial Service is 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 9600 St. Joe Rd. with calling one hour prior. Pastor Kevin Boyd officiating. Calling also from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 18, 2013 at the church. Committal service will be at St. John's Cemetery on Neeb Rd., Cincinnati, Ohio.
