WILLIAM E. "BILL" DAVIS, 84, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Hartford City, Ind., Bill worked as the head grower with Sandpoint Greenhouse for 50 years, retiring in 2003. He was a member of Faith United Methodist Church, member and former president of the Indiana Flower Growers Association; former president of the N.E. Indiana Flower Growers Association; member of the B.P.O.E. #625 (Elks) in Hartford City, Ind., and an avid I.U. basketball fan. Surviving are his son, Charles Davis of Fort Wayne; daughter, Jill (John) Rothwell of La Fontaine, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wilda "Maisie" Davis; and parents, Herman Davis and Lottie Wunderlin. Service is 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave. with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 at the funeral home.
