WILLIAM J. BUESCHING, 94, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2013, at St. Joseph Hospital. Born in Fort Wayne, William worked as a mail handler with the U.S. Government for 31 years, retiring in 1979. He was a U.S. Army World War II veteran and lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. He enjoyed all sports, was an avid IU Basketball fan, enjoyed working around the yard, and loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are his son, William (Bonnie) Buesching of Dublin, Ohio; daughter, Suzanne (Mark) Seele of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Erin, Ryan, Jessica, and Merredith; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Gabriel and Emma; and sister, Charlotte Andrews of Fort Wayne. He was preceded in death by parents, William and Irene Buesching; wife, Virginia Buesching; and later in life companion, Jane Waikel. Funeral service is 1 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2013, at Lutheran Life Villages Memorial Chapel, 6701 S. Anthony Blvd., with calling one hour prior. The Rev. Richard Maassel officiating.
