WILLIAM L. MASON, 91, of Ocala, Fla., passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2013. Born in Fort Wayne, he moved to Florida seven years ago from Pennsylvania. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and graduated with a Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. He retired from Armstrong Industries after almost 40 years of employment. He was a member of the American Chemical Society for 64 years. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Ocala and enjoyed playing Bridge and square dancing. He is survived by his sons, David E. (Joy) Mason of Lancaster, Pa. and Keith W. (Jane) Mason of Burlington, Wash.; daughter, Carol J. (Joe) Borbas of Ocala; sister, Betty Wolfe of Cudahy, Wis.; grandchildren, Michelle Evans, Kristi Mason, Daniel Mason, Luke Mason, Paul Mason, and Mark Mason; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Betty, in 2007; and brother, Harold, in 2001.
