WILMER CLARENCE GERARDOT

WILMER CLARENCE GERARDOT, 88, of Fort Wayne, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, April 9, 2014, at Kingston Residence. Born Feb. 26, 1926, in Mon roeville, Ind., he was a son of the late Ralph and Nora (McCoy) Gerardot. Wilmer served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Intrepid during World War II. He worked as an electrician at Phelps Dodge for 24 years and then worked in maintenance and retired from Superior Powder Coaters. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion, U.S.S. Intrepid Association, and World War II Member. He is survived by his wife, Eileen Gerardot; children, David M. (Jan) Gerardot, Brenda (Jim) Arnett, Cynthia (Glen) Ellenberger, and Thomas (Renee) Gerardot, all of Fort Wayne; 11 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Gerardot. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. Saturday, April 12, 2014, at St. Therese Catholic Church, 2304 Lower Huntington Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46809), with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 11, 2014, at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne (IN 46809). Burial in Highland Park Cemetery.
