DAVID JON ROYER, 34, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, in DeKalb County. Born March 10, 1971, in Fort Wayne, he was a Steamfitter for 13 years at Local 166 working for Shambaugh & Son. He as a member of Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church. He was a an avid Nascar fan, enjoyed four wheeling, golf, helping people in need and playing with his kids. A loving husband, dad and son, he will be missed by all. Surviving are his wife, Lisa Marie Royer of Fort Wayne; mother and stepfather, Linda J. and Andrew Sweet Blanzy of Avilla; father, Fred Royer of Decatur; three sons, Trevor Lee, Zacharie David and Alexander Eugene; one brother, Gregg; three sisters, Jamie, Stephanie and Jenny; two stepsisters, Jody and Diane; one stepbrother, Derek; and nieces, nephews and many friends. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Eugene and Betty Royer, and Gordon and Dorothy Sweet; brother, Marc (see todays obituary). Funeral service is 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church, 1819 Reservation Drive, Fort Wayne. Visitation is from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Home For Funerals, 6810 Old Trail Road, Fort Wayne.
