Shanthinee Nathan & Nelig,

I had the honor to get to know Nimal at the Hair Salon for probably 12 years. Nimal was so positive and very encouraging. He "glowed" when he talked about you and the boys. I just heard the news and was very sad. You and your family are in my prayers.

Dear Shanthinie, Nathan & Nelig,

Words simply cannot express the sheer sorrow we feel about Nimal's passing, and our hearts go out to the three of you and your families. My mother and I initially got to know Nimal way back in 1994 during his early days in Fort Wayne (IN), and we were immediately captivated by his friendly personality and radiant smile, warm heart, and overall good-naturedness. Over the years we were fortunate enough to get to know you and your two wonderful boys as well, and the friendship between our families blossomed even despite periods of being out of touch with each other (we still have fond memories of our trip to Sea World, OH, the conversations and laughter we'd had over meals at each others (and friends') homes, and also Nathan's Christening ceremony). I admired and respected Nimal as a loyal, hardworking, and passionate individual who had a firm commitment to family and work. I know he simply adored you and the boys. He was a good friend to us and we will miss him dearly.

We are deeply saddened that we cannot physically be there to be by your side at this very moment, but we promise to do so as soon as possible. The three of you are in our hearts, every passing minute of every passing day!

We hope that you may at least find some peace and solace in the wonderful memories that you have of Nimal as a husband and father, and pray that he may find eternal rest.

If you need anything at all, we're here for you, and are only a phone call away.

With Love and Prayers,

Niluk & Hope Ferdinando and Aunty Vinodini.

Shanthine:

My heart goes out to you and the boys. Nimal was the real deal and He had a special way of touching the lives of everyone he came in contact with. I am so glad I got to know him personally and to meet you and the boys this last summer at the Park Center picnic. He always spoke so fondly of you. Nimal was a true man of God, a committed family man, and a great friend to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. The last time I saw him, his positive, upbeat attitude was so infectious, I was so incredibly hopeful for him that he would beat this. His faith truly carried him through this and he left a wonderful legacy for you and the boys. He truly understood that there is so much more to life and he lived it. I look forward to seeing him again one day. May the God of all comfort, bring comfort and peace to your family. Let me know if there is anything that I can do for you (really).

My love and prayers go out to you,

Gin

Shanthine, Nathan & Nelig,
Words can't begin to express my deepest sympathy to you. I pray for peace for each of you and that Jesus will hold you close every day of your lives. The strength and dignity each of you have shown through these years of great hardship have been an example to so many. I truly can say that I saw Jesus in the eyes of your dear husband and father. For moments when I would see or talk to him I would forget he was even sick because of his incredible attitude. A true man of great faith he was, with a heart of gold. His radiant smile will surely be remembered and his beautiful spirit will live on forever. You are in the prayers of our family and we all send lots of love.
Love you,
Angie Karapantos
